Accordingly, Akfen REIT will be included in the BIST Sustainability Index from October 1, 2023, due to its sustainable business practices and environmentally friendly projects, and its shares will begin trading on this index.

Having overcome a restructuring period since 2021 and consequently achieving an increase in revenues every term, Akfen Real Estate Investment Trust’s (Akfen REIT) efforts towards corporate sustainability continue to receive accolades in various domains.

Akfen REIT has been included in the Borsa Istanbul (BIST) Sustainability Index for companies with high sustainability performance, effective from October 1, 2023, thanks to its sustainable business practices and environmentally friendly projects.

Since its inception, Akfen REIT, leading the industry with its “Contemporary City Hotels” project and achieving a diverse portfolio including hotels, holiday villages, student dormitories, office and factory buildings, and residential projects over 16 years, has developed a sustainability strategy aimed at creating value for all stakeholders through sustainable, innovative, and environmentally friendly practices adopted in these projects.

A SUSTAINABILITY STRATEGY BASED NOT ONLY ON ENVIRONMENTAL BUT ALSO ON SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC GROUNDS
